How the illustrations are made

The 100 illustrations are drawn by an artificial intelligence model. We decide the style, pick the good ones and discard the rest.

  1. Style guide

Watercolour with an eleven-ink palette, brown line (never black), white background and the same character throughout the series.

  2. Generation

An image model (Google’s Gemini) draws each card from a written description.

  3. Hand review

Each picture is checked against the checklist: background, margin, colours, the character being the same. Failed ones are discarded.

  4. Clean-up

All metadata is removed from the files (origin, camera or provenance data): only the picture remains.

  5. Publishing

As PNG, WebP, JPG and SVG, under a CC BY 4.0 licence.

Why we label them as made with AI

They are clearly illustrations, not images that look real, so the law doesn’t require labelling them. We do it anyway: families’ trust is what matters.

Characters

Some cards show a drawn girl (always the same one, so the chart is consistent). We don’t publish photographs of real people or any data about them.

Licence

The pictures are published under CC BY 4.0, which cannot be withdrawn once granted: you can use, adapt and share them as long as you credit the source.
